Some times there are good reason to redirect a URL to another one such as when you move your website to a new address or when you buy a domain for your blog 


Redirect is sending your visitors to another URL than they requested.

When redirects deceive search engines by displaying URL to human users that is different than that displayed to Google bot.


Its just like Cloaking the search engine will index the original page and the users will redirect to another page they don't expected 


Examples of sneaky redirects 


Search engines shown one type of content while users are redirected to something significantly different.


Desktop users receive a normal page, while mobile users are redirected to a completely different spam domain.


Using JavaScript to redirect users can be a legitimate practice


When you are moving your site to another URL its better to use 301 redirects but if you don’t have access to your website’s server you could use a JavaScript redirect for this purpose .


For example If you redirect users to an internal page once they’re logged in , you can use JavaScript to do so. ensure that your site follows Google Quality Guidelines when using JavaScript or other redirect methods .
